USA TODAY — The restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s China Bistro said Monday a security breach first reported in June may have led to the theft of customer data from credit and debit cards used at 33 restaurants.
WASHINGTON POST — Michaels has confirmed that credit and debit card information was stolen from 3 million customers who shopped at some of its stores during an eight-month period. The craft-store chain initially confirmed the data breach in January but gave few details of what occurred or how many customers were affected.
KREBS ON SECURITY — Nationwide cosmetics and beauty retailer Sally Beauty today confirmed that hackers had broken into its networks and stolen credit card data from stores. The admission comes nearly two weeks after KrebsOnSecurity first reported that the company had likely been compromised by the same criminal hacking gang that stole 40 million credit and debit cards from Target.
